Listening Sessions are events where participants can sit in small groups to describe the issues that concern them the most.
Participants are challenged to be as specific as possible about those issues, and they begin to wrestle with the question of whether or not they are willing to invest their time or energy in addressing those issues.
They provide information about what is going on within our communities, and allow for us to understand what our members are thinking about.
Listening Sessions are part of a nationwide effort to engage our diverse Muslim community on issues that are the most important ahead of the 2020 elections. After the session, participants will also fill out the American Muslim Policy Poll to better coordinate national efforts to engaging candidates and elected officials.
